This policy explains what information StudySnag collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. StudySnag is an aggregator that helps US-based participants find paid research studies. By using the service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account and complete your profile, we collect your email address, first name, date of birth, gender, and country. We use these to create your account and to match you to studies you may qualify for — recruiters screen by details like age and location.

Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; we keep only a Stripe customer reference and your subscription status so we can manage billing.

Usage information. We record basic activity within the app, such as which studies you view, apply to, or hide, so the service works and improves.

Support messages. If you contact us through the chat widget (provided by Crisp), we receive the messages and contact details you send.

Analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics and Umami to understand how the site is used, and essential cookies to keep you signed in. Analytics cookies help us measure traffic; essential cookies are required for the site to function.

How we use your information

We use your information to run your account and subscription, match you to relevant studies, provide support, keep the service secure, prevent fraud, and improve how the product works. We do not sell your personal information.

How your information is shared

We share information only with the service providers that help us run StudySnag — including Supabase (hosting and account data), Stripe (payments), Crisp (support chat), and Google and Umami (analytics) — and only as needed for them to provide their service.

When you register for a study, you deal directly with the research provider that runs it. Any information you share with that provider is handled under their own privacy terms, not ours.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support@studysnag.com.

Your choices and rights

You can access or update your profile details from your account settings, and you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting support@studysnag.com. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing page.

Children

StudySnag is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or take part in the studies we list.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
